　　本片的配樂是一部精湛的作品，融合了可怕的懸念和驚人的情緒表現。有着令人恐懼的時刻以及精彩的母艦與人類對話的音符。然而這張專輯非常的可惜，不好的混音、不完全的曲目，丟失了很多重要的內容。幸好在影片20周年後重新編輯發行了這部傑作，大部分出現在影片中的音樂悉數收入，還包括了一些配樂的其他演繹版本。令人高興的是，影片中那段交流時賞心悅目、無比壯觀的音樂終於完整收錄了進來。重新混音和錄製，使這張CD成為必不可少的收藏品。
